I use my passion for trail running and film-making to showcase our deep connection to the natural world, creating documentaries that inspire both adventure and a commitment to preserving the environments we love to run through.
Everything I do through Kelp and Fern comes back to three things: putting nature at the center of the story, staying independent from commercial interests, and taking real action to protect trails through For The Trail.
Trail running is a sport and hobby that is based on nature, the industry has forgotten that. We move through nature and landscapes and my focus is to be more trail.
No sponsors, self-funded documentaries that aren't beholden to corporate interests who dictate how long a documentary is, what should be featured and how it should look. This allows me to showcase epic feats of endurance and nature by giving them time to breath.
I document non-professionals, newcomers, older athletes, obscure races, and people attempting personal challenges, the vast majority of trail runners who get ignored by mainstream media.
For The Trail is an environmental project which I create resources and videos to show how we can do more For The Trail and ask less of the natural world.
Our projects with people, mountains and the ocean. Here you can find my full-length documentaries in the trail, ultra-marathon and nature categories.
Most of our photography is comprised of landscapes, outdoor adventures and events and the underwater world.
We sell prints, check out our photographs and send us an email.
